True - but the basic premise behind this is the "drive people to a site" way of thinking. This is web1.0 thinking. Web2.0 is all about drawing people to you and making your content discoverable. Like it or not YouTube is a more discoverable platfrom - and yes, you can't censor it it terms of avoiding certain content - but that is the reality that organisations are just going to have to deal with if they are to survive in the social media world.

have you checked out blip.tv? I'm not super familiar with it, as I am just getting started, but it seems to take on more of a TV show kind of feel. A lot more professional than youTube.

A major plus is that you can chose your distribution. Every time I upload i can choose to distribute that video to a multitude of other places (I have my blog and facebook). you may want to check that out as well.

While I agree the "sleaze factor" is a concern, the reality is that once you buy into social media as part of your communication strategy toolbox, you give up some control over how your message is delivered. For all venues you need to evaluate risk vs reward. If a "risky" venue also has the potential for vast exposure in your target market(s) you need to consider it.
